A press conference about Portugal-UK 650, the commemorations of the 650th anniversary, the Anglo-Portuguese Alliance and the Treaty of Tagilde took place in Vizela. It was in Tagilde, municipality of Vizela, district of Braga, where for the first time the two nations established “forever lasting friendships and alliances” and promised to be “good, loyal and true friends forever and to love each other well and truly and never go against each other, nor against their kingdoms, successors or heirs”. (Treaty of Tagilde 10 July 1372, Article 1). You can watch the full presentation here.
